One of my co worker’s brother’s has a Trailblazer SS that he bought after he was tired of driving his ratty S2000. Wait an SS? Yes that means it has a LS2 heart just like my goat.
(not his car Pictured)
Well his was having major issues and I think he was having oil issues or valve issues, I don’t quite remember. So with his brother’s work discount we ordered him a GM reman engine. Here are some photos of it.

The Saab version comes standard with the 5.3L aluminum block v8, which is what my wife drives. The aero version comes with the 6.0l. These are seriously cheap v8 SUVs. Ours is about to hit 100k miles with no major issues.

Well his cat blew out and I mean the car was ok, but he was tired of spending money on it and he is a big guy and wanted something else and a V8. You should have heard the S200 w/o a cat. He had it just dumping right out the manifold. Probably the worst sounding vehicle on earth and I have a propane, flat heat 4 cyl Fork lift that frequently runs on 2 cylinders when it is cold and that sounds better.

Yeah, I think the previous owner didn’t take much car of the engine or something.
